Community Parish Nurse
The Belfrey is establishing a new Parish Nursing service in partnership with Parish Nursing Ministries UK (“PNMUK”), to support people with mental health needs within our congregations, and/or who are accessing our other Social Transformation ministries including our CAP Debt Centre, Wellspring Counselling Centre, and Safe Families support service.
The Community Parish Nurse will set up and deliver the Parish Nursing service in compliance with the national standards set by PNMUK, offering targeted interventions, activities, support and education to help people improve and maintain their mental and physical health, with an intentional holistic approach to spiritual care. This will be to complement, not replicate or replace NHS or other health provision. The service will be available to people of all faiths and none.
We’re looking for someone who is excited to bring their qualifications and experience in community nursing, who is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. It’s a genuine occupational requirement of the role that the candidate is a Christian with a living relationship with Jesus, and our ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a ministry where they and others can combine their faith with caring for people’s health and wellbeing.
This role is for a fixed term of 2 years, beginning the week commencing 15th or 22nd September 2025* (to align with the start of Parish Nursing Ministries next training cohort). We would be open to discussing a later start.
Salary: £35,392 – £42,618 per annum pro rata, depending on experience
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (must include Monday mornings)
